Quality control
Quality is a sampling discipline, not a slogan.
Our quality policy
We prefer products that are as unintervened and natural as possible. We offer our products at prices that let us protect our quality. We support production that does not harm the world we live in. We work with local growers. We prioritise sustainable production, balancing quality against price.
Three points of control
At reception, on a drawn sample from every incoming field lot: maturity indices appropriate to the crop — brix, acid and brix/acid ratio for citrus; pressure and starch index for apple; dry matter for potato; firmness for cherry and stone fruit. A lot that fails at reception does not enter the line.
On the line, continuous visual grading against the destination’s tolerance for blemish, colour break and shape, with periodic caliber verification.
Pre-shipment, on the packed pallet: caliber conformity, pack weight, labelling, pallet integrity, pulp temperature, and a photographic record filed against the lot.
What we report
Brix and acid per lot rather than per season, because a buyer pricing on eating quality needs the number for the fruit they are actually getting. Pulp temperature at loading. Caliber distribution against the ordered grade.
